The Guardian has reported that Facebook has lost millions of its users who are favouring newer platforms such as Instagram and Path.
An analysis from SocialBakers shows that the social network lost six million of its US visitors.
Users in Canada, Spain, France, Germany and Japan are also ‘logging off’ Facebook.
“There is a boredom factor where people like to try something new. Is Facebook going to go the way of Myspace? The risk is relatively small, but that is not to say it isn’t there,” said new media specialist Ian Maude at Enders Analysis.
As for me, I just check Facebook for any Likes or Comments. Even if I do post something, it will be same content as what I’m posting on Twitter.
In my experience, Facebook is still essential but I prefer Twitter and Instagram.
What about you? Are you slowly logging off from Facebook?
