To be honest, I’ve been quite moody for the past few days. Having to deal with the tenant at my Mum’s apartment is just too much. It’s not that easy to chase someone out and she’s the type that has the potential to give us a VERY tough time. It’s just been hard and I’ve been thinking of 1001 ways to deal with this difficult situation.
I’ve talked to some people about this and it’s great to get some feedback and their perspective. It’s also good to know some have gone through a similar situation and their advice is just priceless.
This is like God’s test for me and my family. I know He will will give us some ways to resolve this and some strength to go along with it.
The more I connect with people the more I realise each one of us are going through something. It could be having a small fight with our brothers or sisters. It could be about having trouble at the office. It could be about losing our passion for success and temporarily ditching our dreams.
Such situations will teach us more about life. More about us. More about other people.
As I navigate through this difficult journey, I always ask God for strength and some tips on how best should I handle this situation and handle the tenant.
Wish me luck!
After weeks in the making (*Chewahhhh*), the #My2013 #GoogleHangout webisodes is now available. Today marks the debut with the webisode with @miiksy. There are 6 more webisode to be uploaded, one for each day until the 30th!
I’m really excited about it as I’ve personally learned a lot from my panelist. It’s always refreshing to get new perspective on life.
The webisode is a short clip with the panelist answering the following questions….
1) Lessons I’ve learned in 2013
2) 2013: Fixed or growth year for me?
3) 2014 is gonna be awesome…
Check out @miiksy’s answers (and she’s only in her early twenties!)
It was just an ordinary Monday when I was with my Mum at AEON Big, flipping through the papers and enjoying my Iced Lemon Tea. Then came a lady whom I thought was looking for donations until she introduced herself as an insurance agent.
Thinking that she wanted to ‘target’ my Mum, she immediately asked about me.
Insurance Agent: (To my mum) Is he your son?
Insurance Agent: How old are you?
Me: 27 (I knew where this conversation is heading)
Insurance Agent: Are you working?
Me: (Annoyed) Yes.
Insurance Agent: Where are you working at?
Insurance Agent: Adalah…
She went on and on about the insurance and how it could be also savings to perform the Umrah and Hajj. I know she has great intentions but I… for one, already have an insurance and two, I’m just not that interested.
I just want to read the papers and enjoy my drink. That’s it.
She wasn’t so friendly towards the end when she could see that both of us are not interested. I was expecting her to go talk to the family next to our table. She just left the place. Just like that.
Friend: What’s your Instagram ID? Sy… something right?
Me: Yep! @sy4f
Friend: How come I can’t tag you. Cannot find your name!
Me: Err… That’s because you didn’t follow me!
Friend: Where got… I follow you…
Me: Sure or not…
Friend: Ehhhh… I didn’t follow you…
Me: KANTOI!!!! Tak follow me. LOL!
You know how our Abah and Mak (father and mother) these days meet their friends at weddings. That’s when they’ll say “Eh… lamanya tak jumpa… time anak-anak kita kahwin je baru dapat jumpa!!”
Now I know how that feels like.
Case in point. My university mate Zeck’s wedding held earlier at the awesome Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC).
I was just telling Feeza that we’ve not met each other (the group) for such a long time and weddings are like the only time for our mini reunion! Even so, not many make could make to the wedding just now. *sob* *sob*
So at Zeck and Natasha’s wedding earlier, glad to have met Feeza, Jojo and Aaron. As usual, in this social media age, we just got to selfie!
I love doing the special year-ender for my blog motivationMY.com. We’ve done different themes each year, so for 2013 I decided to do a Google Hangout! I invited my friends, specifically those who are familiar with @motivationMY and have shared some #dailyMOJO!
We talked about the lessons we’ve learned in 2013, whether we’ve stepped out of our comfort zone and how our 2014 is gonna be awesome!
Full webisodes will be uploaded towards the end of 2013 but here’s a trailer. (Spent a few hours doing it and kinda proud with the outcome!!)
